Butternut Squash & Apricot Puree

First Foods – 6-9 months

Butternut Squash

Peel, deseed and chop into small pieces.

Steam until tender, about 20 minutes.  Puree adding water (if necessary) until you reach desired consistency. 

 

Dried Apricot Puree

Place dried apricots in saucepan.  Cover with water and boil for about 7-10 minutes until apricots are plump.  Puree with more water to desired consistency. 

 

NOTE:  This puree does not freeze to a solid form.  It stays soft, so you may want to leave it in an ice cube tray with a lid until needed.  Still freeze to store it.
